For students from age 5 through adult.
Weekly lessons of 30, 45, or 60 minutes
Drawing from both Suzuki and European traditions, I address each student as an individual to help them become independent and confident musicians.
Lessons are held in person in my private studio in Houston, Texas or virtually from anywhere in the world.

For small ensembles of all ages
Occasional or Regular 60 minute coachings
I lend a professional ear to your ensemble as you prepare for performance or learn music for fun. Topics addressed include rehearsal technique, ensemble skills, balance and voicing, and interpretation.

For school or youth orchestras
Clinics on request
I have 10 years of experience coaching viola and violin sections for success in concert and contest. I offer in school and after school clinics.

Where is your studio located?
In person lessons are taught in my private home studio in the southwest Houston Willowbend neighborhood. It is 5-10 minutes from Meyerland/Westbury, 10-15 minutes from West U, 10-15 minutes from Bellaire, 15 minutes from Rice University, 20 minutes from Sugarland, 25 minutes from Montrose, and 30 minutes from Pearland.
I also offer lessons virtually, through Zoom and FaceTime.
What length of lesson do you recommend?
Typically, I start new students at 45 minute lessons. Occasionally, for younger students, we will start at 30 minutes. For high schoolers and more advanced students, I recommend the full hour so that we can address all of the music and technique they are learning!
We can decide together at our initial trial lesson what time will be the best fit for you.
Do you offer trial lessons?
I do! I think that a trial lesson is important to see if the student and I will be a good fit for each other. During the trial lesson, we will do a little playing and a lot of talking to make sure that we are on the same page.

Our goal is to have 3-4 lessons a month. I have an active performance schedule, and I know my students and their families are also busy, so while I ask each student to have a “regular” lesson time, I am happy to be flexible within the offered times on my schedule.

How do we pay you?
I accept payment via cash, check, Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle. Typically, families will pay for one month at a time.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please let me know as soon as possible, and at least 48 hours in advance! This allows me to open up that spot on the schedule for another student.
